Wide-mesh fishnet, black panels that map out the chest, and a matching boxer. Simple, graphic, and seriously effective.
With men's fishnet, most brands settle for a uniform net and call it a day. J Lingerie did something else: this set combines a wide-gauge fishnet mesh, fully see-through, with opaque black fabric panels placed exactly where they count.
On the top, those opaque bands form a V across the chest and a vertical line down the centre, extended by wide shoulder panels. It's not just decoration: these lines follow the structure of the pecs and rib cage, and they visually broaden the upper body. The top stops dead under the pecs — it's a proper crop, leaving the whole abdomen bare.
The boxer uses the same fishnet, with an opaque front pouch and a wide black elastic waistband. Thighs, hips and backside stay in fishnet, so they're visible.
The mesh holes are wide, not fine. That choice changes everything: a tight fishnet reads as a grey haze and blurs the skin, while a wide-gauge one shows through properly and creates a clean geometric pattern. This is firmly the second case.
The mesh has serious stretch. It gives in both directions and springs back into place, which makes the one-size fit genuinely universal on this kind of cut.
The opaque panels are lined and much thicker than the fishnet. They're what gives the garment its structure: without them, the top would sag.
The edges are properly finished — neckline, armholes, hem and boxer waistband. On an item at this price, that's where a lot of manufacturers cut corners, and it's also the first thing to give out.
It won't overheat you. Fishnet, by its very construction, lets air through constantly. Over the course of a night in a club, you'll notice the difference sharply compared with wetlook or vinyl.
A point of honesty: the exact composition isn't communicated by the manufacturer. With this kind of stretch fishnet, it's typically a polyamide or polyester base with elastane, but until that's confirmed, we won't write it down as fact.
It broadens the shoulders and narrows the waist. The V panels do exactly what a well-cut garment should: they create a downward line that gives the impression of a wider chest. That's tailoring, not magic.
All-black never goes out of style. It suits every skin tone, it never dates, and it pairs with anything — harness, boots, jockstrap.
The transparency is bold but structured. It's not all-or-nothing: the opaque zones give the eye somewhere to land, and everywhere else lets you see through. That contrast is what makes the style work.
It's a matching set for under €14. Buying a top and boxer separately and hoping they match costs more and often misses on the exact shade of black or the texture. Here, everything's coordinated.
And it's easy to wear. This is probably the best first purchase in men's lingerie: the style makes a statement without going to extremes, and the price won't sting if it turns out not to be your thing.
In a club or at a fetish night, the full set works on its own. Add boots or high-top trainers and you've got a finished outfit. Fishnet is the most recognisable code in that scene — everyone gets it instantly.
Under clothes, for a regular night out. The crop top under an open shirt or a black jacket is a layering trick that works really well. You suggest without showing.
For a themed party or a birthday, it's the kind of outfit you gift someone and that actually gets worn, because it's neither ridiculous nor intimidating.
In private, the full set is the right call. Undressing takes longer with two pieces, and that's exactly the point.
In photos, fishnet against a dark background creates a graphic pattern that catches the camera. On a profile, it's a worthwhile investment.
Separately, too. The boxer alone works as everyday wear under trousers, and the top alone over low-rise black jeans works very well.
The crop is what makes the difference. A fully bare chest, you see everywhere. A chest framed by black that stops under the pecs, far less so. The eye gets drawn to the abdomen exactly like a photo crop would do it.
Fishnet is made to be touched. It's a detail people forget: the texture of the mesh under your fingers, feeling the skin through it, changes the way you touch someone through a piece of clothing.
From behind, it's explicit. The fishnet boxer hides nothing of the backside. The opaque front pouch suggests you're dressed; the back says otherwise.
It tears, too. Might as well say it: at this price, a fishnet ripped in the heat of the moment isn't a tragedy. Some people treat that as a feature in its own right.
And it builds confidence. That's often what matters most: the kind of outfit you put on while checking yourself in the mirror, and that changes the way you walk into a room.
Hand wash in cold water, mild soap or a delicate detergent. The fishnet is the fragile part: press it in the soapy water, don't scrub it and don't wring it.
No tumble dryer, no radiator, no iron. Heat wears out the elastane and permanently distorts the mesh. Dry flat, in the open air.
No fabric softener, no bleach.
If you insist on the machine, use a wash bag, a cold delicate cycle, minimum spin, and nothing with a zip or a hook in the same drum.
Take off your jewellery before putting it on. Rings, watches, chain bracelets: that's what snags a strand and turns a mesh hole into an actual hole.
Store it flat, away from anything it could snag on.

Q: Can you see through it?
A: Completely, everywhere the fishnet is. Only the V panels on the top, the boxer's front pouch and the waistband are opaque. From behind, the boxer hides nothing.
Q: What body types does the one-size fit?
A: The mesh has serious stretch and the cut is masculine. Comfortable from S to L. Beyond that, the mesh holes open up further and the set gets more see-through than intended.
Q: Does the fishnet snag easily?
A: Like any fishnet, yes, on jewellery and long nails. Take off rings and your watch before putting it on and it'll hold up well.
Q: What's the difference with the wetlook laser-cut set?
A: The fabric and the look. The wetlook piece is glossy, opaque and slit with cuts; this one is a matte, wide-gauge fishnet, lighter and more breathable. Two different styles for two different moods.
