The anal enema: why and how

The enema, also called a “douche” or “cleaning up”, consists of rinsing the last section of the bowel with lukewarm water before anal sex. How to use it

• Fill the reservoir with lukewarm water, at body temperature, never hot, and with no soap or additive.

• Get into position: squatting, lying on your side or with one foot up on the edge of the bath.
• Insert the head gently a few centimetres, then start the gentlest flow mode.
• Hold the water for a few seconds, remove the bulb and empty into the toilet. Repeat two or three times, until the water comes out clear.
• Wait 20 to 30 minutes before sex to let the residual water drain.
• For the vibration, press the second button: once you're clean, you can use it as an anal vibe.

Precautions and care

Never force the insertion and never use water that's too hot. Don't fill several reservoirs in a row without emptying in between.
